UNAV seeks common front to decriminalize agency defaults

UNAV has a pulse on IATA. The Association will seek support among member agencies and other business organizations so that the airline lobby stops automatically using criminal proceedings with agencies that commit non-payment. UNAV will send its proposals to IATA itself and to the Spanish Government.

For Garrido, flanked at the meeting by the director of Tourism & Law, Marta Rosas, and the manager of UNAV, José Luis Méndez, the "unfair and disproportionate" situation suffered by travel agencies is even more incongruous if you consider that IATA airlines "do not proceed in the same way in many other countries" .
